How to Adding Text, Labels, and Dimensions to a SketchUp Model

 


Learn about the different types of texts added in the SketchUp software

Four types of text can be added to the SketchUp model, which are as follows:

Screen text

This type of text can be fixed on the screen and can also be used to label a design model.

Leader text

This type of text is the arrow or line, which points to the model entity.

3D text

The 3D text can be made with the actual faces or edges, which can be used to show the numbers on the front of the house.

Dimensions

The dimension tool can be used to create the dimension entity. This entity has links with the circle, line or arc entity, which helps to display the measurements and can also update those measurements as per the design requirements.
